9-11

Grades: A cumulative 2.50 grade point average (GPA) based on the last four (4) consecutive semesters

Test scores: Perform on a level of Basic or above on LEAP 2025 or the equivalent on a norm-referenced assessment in both ELA and math

The Liberty experience prepares students for the future. Liberty Magnet High has been recognized by various organizations for its architecture and unique design. The extraordinary design of the school includes three academies, each specializing in its own college pathway, much like a modern university. A visit to Liberty’s distinctive campus easily shows why we say Liberty is a school like no other.

Liberty Magnet High offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum utilizing STEM-focused electives in Engineering, Pre-Medicine, Digital Media, including Computer Science. One of the many unique aspects of Liberty’s curriculum is the opportunity for students to earn credit towards a future college major through courses specializing in project-based learning.

 

Our student population of over 1100 design their schedules around 24 Advanced Placement courses, 15 Dual Enrollment courses, and 15 Honors courses. Liberty offers courses in Computational Thinking, Robotics, Digital Storytelling, and Advanced Computer Coding. Students are also able to participate in 15 High School Sports, over 40 student-led clubs and various academic competitions.

With an ACT composite 3 points above the state average, Liberty Magnet celebrates 34 AP Scholars, 8 AP Scholars with Distinction, 6 AP Scholars with Honor and1 National AP Scholar.

Liberty has been recognized as a Magnet School of Distinction by the Magnet Schools of America and continues to earn awards and accolades throughout the state and nation.
